MC / Program Host

I have strong communication and influencing skills. Since my childhood, I always enjoy public speaking and giving presentation in front of the audience. Throughout my academic journey, I scored highest marks in presentation. I have been influenced by listening the speeches given by Barack Hussein Obama II is who served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He is my role model in public speaking, and I am one of his biggest fans. I feel highly motivated and inspired when I can implement my learning and experience in the practical field. Therefore, whenever I get the opportunity, I love to speak and share my knowledge and skills and showcase my expertise to learn and relearn the skills for becoming more confident and resourceful individual.

In this connection, I am happy and pleased to share that I have performed the role of Master of Ceremony /Program Host both in academic programs as well as in professional corporate events. In my opinion, MC or the master of ceremony is a person or a pair of individuals who host any kind of formal ceremony in any institutional programs or official business programs.  Normally, in a small program, there may have a single MC or even in case of big events there may have two or more individuals who play their roles as MC in different intervals of the program.

At a very early age I started working as an MC. I started from my school years. The first time I worked as a MC when I was at 9th grade school student.  I have co-hosted alongside my friend in the annual cultural even of our school. It was a day long program where the event started with parade, inauguration of school’s new building and ended with cultural event. Later, I also hosted debating competition, sports events, get together program in the school.

I have performed the similar kinds of program when I enrolled in college. The college authority selected me for hosting all the programs award giving program, debating competition, sports events and annual get together program in college. Normally, high profile government officers & local minister attended this program every year which marks the event as a high-profile college function. I was able to welcome the chief myself with flower bouquet and he shared some valuable words with them after the event. These events were very hectic and very much formal where the MC had to be able to handle all the variations that occur during the proceedings

During my university life, I have worked as MC in a regular basis and have won several certificates for the events. I have arranged some programs in the campus myself. I have worked as MC in inter departmental programs, orientation programs, film competitions, book reading competition, case study completion, MBA meet and Business Society meet programs. Such programs provide vast exposure to students on various issues as the aim of each program is to share a message to its students. These programs have increased my knowledge on the particular topics that were presented in the programs. Formal interaction of the MC with the Vice-Chancellor, Deans, Coordinators, Faculties, Special Guests, and winning students enrich the interpersonal dynamics of the individual hosting.

I have majored in HR and once the university arranged a seminar on HR Talk with different organization’s HR Managers. This workshop has enhanced my knowledge on various trending issues of HR that are not even taught in the books. The program made me understand how the technical HR differs from the textbook HR. So being a part of such events in to be able to grasp details from a close link it’s a tremendous platform for a student to unravel their potential as a stage personality. It’s not something that could come naturally to a person hosting for the first time. There are moments when one can freeze and feel embarrassed. But this a learning process where a student can practice and get that confidence to stand in front of so many people and create an impression.

Recently, I have performed the role of session manager in hosting The International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) is the flagship conference of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) organized by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. The conference aimed was providing a platform for sharing knowledge and experience on recent developments and advancements in geoscience and remote sensing technologies, particularly in the context of earth observation, disaster monitoring and risk assessment. The conference held from 17 – 22 July 2022 in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where 400 audiences & 100+ speakers presented their papers in different sessions.

Corporate Events: I have performed the role of hosting different kinds of corporate events like product launching, MoU signing, formal meeting etc. Cultural and music program: I have also hosted corporate cultural and musical program of different organization. Seminar/workshop: I have hosted national and international seminar/workshop arranged by different organizations.
