It was wonderful experience to join in the fourth Asia Pacific Youth Exchange (APYE) held from July 08-20, 2018, at Bangkok, Thailand. 150 selected delegates attended from 21 countries.
In exchange program the students travel overseas and are hosted by a partner organization as part of the exchange programme, which is a mutually beneficial travel arrangement. In this program, the even was hosted by APYE and UNDP Thailand.
This program helped to view things more objectively and cultivates more tolerance for other people’s cultures and traditions. This program also helped to learn about the Thai culture and traditions. Besides, this program helped me to develop my communication and networking skills with foreign students. It gave a global exposures to meet with people from different countries. I believed students must attend foreign exchange program.
In the competition, our team comprise members from India, China, Vietnam & Cambodia won the 1st prize from his Excellency Mr. Ml. Panadda Ditsakul, Deputy Minister – Ministry of Education, Thailand & Dr. Haninam kim, Founder of Urban Youth Academy for designing innovative projects called Trash4cash for social and community development.
We also attended the culture programs. It was a great learning experience for me. I think youth should participate such kind of program to develop global knowledge, skills, attitudes and establishing collaboration with foreign people.
